September 2008 Highlights
Country Club Ridge Tenants' Corporation
All boilers will be cleaned prior to the heating season.
A new boiler has been installed in Building #19.
A new burner has been installed in boiler Building #35.
The Verizon FIOS wiring work is still in progress and completion expected by the end of October. The staff has appreciated everyone's cooperation.
The laundry rooms are in the process of being updated. Service Directions is installing all new front-loading washers as well as painting all 13 laundry rooms. In addition to this, the costs for the washers and dryers have been increased slightly. A machine has recently been installed just inside the Maintenance office building, where you can obtain a refund back onto your laundry card, if there's been a discrepancy with the machines. You have to call Service Directions #800-945-9274 that's posted along with your card's serial number and where you reside. You will be given a PIN code from their representative so that you can key this information into the machine and the refund amount will automatically be added onto your card's balance total.
We have submitted a request to the Town of Greenburgh to make necessary repairs to their town road.
Reminder - For those residents who pay for either private or main garage parking, it would be much appreciated if those spaces were used so that the remaining outdoor spaces on our street could be utilized by those who do not have a garage space, especially at night.
Storage rooms - If you have not already removed any unwanted storage items, the staff will continue with the removal of any unmarked items. Please remember the stipulations of items stored in these storage rooms.
Garage sale at CCR. We are planning to hold a garage sale on the private road on Sat Oct 18th (rain date Sun Oct 19th). Flyers will follow shortly and we encourage everyone to participate. This will be hosted by residents only; no outside vendors.
As in the past, we are planning a Halloween Parade for the children of CCR on the weekend just prior to Halloween, hopefully on Saturday, October 25 at 11am. We want to encourage children to parade in their costumes, have some refreshments as well as try their hand at breaking some piñatas and reap the rewards of their efforts! Flyers will be posted shortly. Anyone interested in helping to organize this event, please email the Board c/o Patti LeBar or Irene Barsotti. Your assistance would be welcomed and appreciated.
We have approximately 15 storage cages available in Building #69. If you have an existing cage in another building and would like to relocate to this building, please contact Hudson North c/o Florence Sullivan to arrange for a transfer. We hope to install several cages in Building #66 since the water problem in that basement has been successfully corrected, due to Civitano's work performed in that courtyard. The storage cages are rented annually for $240. and payable to Hudson North by March 1st of each year.
Trees - We are concerned about the number of trees that we have had to remove from our property over the last several years and, therefore, we're researching the kinds of trees to be planted in the future.
We want to remind all residents that if anyone is interested in contributing their ideas and talents to any of our committees, please email the Board. The committees are: Finance Committee c/o Marty Berg; Maintenance Committee c/o Patricia Leavy, Parking & Security Committee c/o Joel Katz and Grounds Committee c/o Patti LeBar.
Next Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
