Country Club Ridge Tenants Corp. June 2009 Highlights Draft
The pool opened on the weekends as of May 30th and will continue to be open on the weekends until it officially opens for the summer on Saturday, June 27th.
The fence painting from white to brown is in progress and will get done within the next month or two. The rainy weather has caused delays.
The overall annual plantings have been installed by our landscaper, Civitano, as of late May and early June. Three white Kousa dogwood trees were installed near buildings #67, #68 and #70, in compliance with the Town's ordinances. They will contribute some contrast to the rest of our existing trees. By minimizing the annual plantings, we were able to redirect funds within our contract to incorporate the costs of the trees as well as some major, unattended trimming that needed to be done on our property. The committee has been diligent to incorporate as many perennial plantings at both of our entrances. These investments will come back yearly and we will all reap the benefits of their beauty.
A Social committee is in the process of being formed to assist in connecting neighbor with neighbor. In doing this, we hope to have future events either at the park on the hill or possibly within the confines of the pool area. Anyone interested in assisting in this endeavor, please email the Board and someone will be in touch with you shortly.

A "book swap" bookcase has been placed just inside the Maintenance office doors, across from Bob's office, where anyone can donate books they've read, so that others can have a read. Bring in any unwanted books of yours, come in and help yourself to a slightly newer one!
Plans for a garage sale for mid-July is in the works. Applications will soon be available at the Maintenance office for anyone interested in participating. The fee per table will help to cover the cost of advertising as well as raising some funds to be used to further enhancing our property. Details will follow shortly in a flyer to be posted in all hallways and maisonettes.
Following our annual meeting, a petition was begun and signed by numerous residents to have the curb resetting project continued on the right side of Rockledge Road as you drive down the hill. They had reset the curbs from East Hartsdale Avenue last year all the way up the hill on the right side to buildings #67/69. Since the opposite side of the road is in dire need of the same treatment, a letter along with our petition and photographs of the specific area has been sent to our Town Supervisor, Mr. Paul Feiner, and we will await his response and hopefully follow up action to occur in the near future. If this does not succeed, we will begin yet another petition until we have success.
Have a Wonderful Summer!
