                                                        About Us

Country Club Ridge is located on East Hartsdale Avenue and the north and south sides of Rockledge Road in Hartsdale, Westchester County, New York.  The location of the property is in itself, unique.  The property is bordered on one side by the Scarsdale town line and on two other sides by the principal Hartsdale shopping area and the Metro North railroad station, both on the perimeter of the property.

It is significant that residents of Country Club Ridge need no automobile transportation, public or private, for immediate access to shopping or the railroad to downtown New York City.  Due to a slight rise in terrain and an abundance of foliage, neither the business district nor the railroad station encroach upon or obstruct views from the property.

The co-op is garden-style spread out over 15 acres.  The 19 buildings, which were constructed in 1947, contain 248 residential apartments.  There are lawn courtyard areas throughout the complex, which have been landscaped and are maintained by CCR's gardeners.  Residents can garden, set up barbecue grills and picnic tables in front of their homes, or just relax in their lounge chairs and enjoy the beautiful surroundings during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.

There are two main playgrounds on the property as well as a small playground within the pool area.  The pool measures from 2' to 12' deep. The complex has 13 laundry rooms, free outdoor parking, a main indoor garage which accommodates 62 cars, 25 private garages and many storage rooms, some of which have private storage cages.

Access to the apartments vary.  Some apartments are accessed directly from the sidewalks and others through a common doorway and interior stairway to the second floor apartments.  The apartments range in size from studios to 3 bedrooms, 2 baths.  Some apartments have sunken living rooms, terraces, patios, and a few have fireplaces.  The apartment breakdown is as follows:

Country Club Ridge is located less than two minutes away from the Hartsdale Train Station.  Hartsdale is 21 miles away from midtown Manhattan.  A monthly commutation ticket to NYC is available (rush hour commute via Metro North's Harlem line is 35 minutes).

Hartsdale has plenty of shops by the train station.  CCR is convenient to the many stores on Central Avenue from Yonkers to White Plains.  The Galleria Mall and the Westchester Mall are about 10 - 15 minutes away.

On Saturday morning from 9 am - 1 pm during June through early November, the Farmer's Market is located at the west side of the Hartsdale train station.  From their open-air stands, farmers offer fruits, vegetables, flowers, and baked goods.

On Sundays (10 am - 2 pm) during May, June and September, a 14-mile section of the Bronx River Parkway from Westchester County Center running south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers is blocked off to vehicles and used for bicyclers. A 2-mile section from the County Center running north to Fisher Lane in White Plains is open to skaters.

The Woodlands Middle/Senior High School, for grades 7 through 12 is on 190 acres of the former 500-acre estate of Felix Warburg, the financier.  In addition to the Woodlands school, the Greenburgh Central School District No. 7 also includes three elementary schools.  There are two Roman Catholic Schools in the town- Sacred Heart for kindergarten through 8th grade and Maria Regina High School.
